What Can You Learn? <click below for info>

Our Lesson Program
Our program philosophy is based on the Centered Riding techniques and we believe in teaching basics to provide a well balanced confident rider. Students ride the same horse in their lessons until they are ready to advance. Our program has been successful because of our attention to rider and horse. We offer Introductory, Private and Group lessons.
Dressage
From the beginning, our riders are taught centered riding and a balanced seat. We build on those basics and train through first level. Each month a professional dressage instructor works with those students who are interested in taking their dressage to the next level.
Jumping
Once our riders have developed a sense of balance and feel comfortable at the walk, trot and canter, we incorporate trotting poles and then cross rails. Each week we challenge our students with different exercises to improve jumping skills.
Kinder-Rides
Lewisville Stables is one of only a few riding stables that offers Kinder-Rides. Designed for the youngest rider, Kinder-Rides are 1/2 hour private lunge lessons. We begin with the basics such as balance, posting, two-point and toe-tail touches. Kinder-Rides are for riders just starting out, but may be used for evaluation and preparation for group lessons. Students may take up to four Kinder-Ride lessons before moving into the small group lesson.

What makes us Different

In addition to a beginner of all ages program, Lewisville Stables Inc. also has developed a program for the student that wishes to move up a level to intermediate or advanced. We maintain, train and show horses that are qualified to take a student to the next level, mainly focusing on local Horse Trials, Dressage, and Combined Tests. Our instructors have a winning record over the past 20 years at shows and our students can participate with out having to own their own horse. We provide coaching, transportation and regularly attend all Horse Trials in the Tri State area. Our program also offers several clinics throughout the year that all levels are welcome to participate in. We encourage our students to become involved in all aspects of our program, creating a camaraderie that is unique.

Instructors

Christi Biddle has been teaching local children to ride for over 15 years. She is a certified riding instructor who continues her riding education through clinics and lessons from professional trainers. Christi believes that each child should learn at their own ability. "Riding takes skill and practice, but most importantly should be fun."

Jen Knox teaches both English and Western riding lessons and competes in Western riding.
